Vive Academy’s Mission Statement

Our Mission:

Vive Academy is a place of education. We focus on growing imagination, deepening intuition, exploring science, knowing reason, and expanding the intellect. We are a place of hands-on learning where the spirit, heart, mind, and body are honored and engaged, enabling the growth and health of the whole person. Our 'Practice The Basics' curriculum encourages the emergence of individuals who are nurtured by the intimate belonging/connection to a living loving community through education, experience, and embodied engagement.

Our Purpose:

We work to cultivate the place (the good soil) and a web of personal relationships to ensure diversity, complexity, flexibility and ‘healthy’ development. Strong human relationships cannot be replaced or simulated by technology. Instead, personal relationships are the living connections and the necessary pathways to give and receive love, encouragement, inspiration, nourishment and blessing. Thus, allowing for Love, Truth, Beauty, Joy and Wisdom to flow, fly, crawl, sing, vibrate, shimmer, dance, and constantly move within, around, and through us.

Our Belief:

Only through collective being, living, working, worshipping, and playing can we ignite Awe and Wonder, honor the sanctity of life, and discover our unique calling. Our health, wholeness, and holiness are nurtured in the process, not in the outcomes.

We are committed to ‘Practice the Basics’ believing “Great things are done by a series of small steps brought together” and we will become our best selves through our daily interactions with living and breathing people, places, and things.

Experience:

We encourage our teachers, students, and parents to study, observe, and engage life. Curiosity is vital to being a lifelong learner. No information can replace or replicate one’s lived experience.

Strength:

Healthy communities consist of healthy individuals. At Vive Academy, we cultivate ‘real’ places for real people to practice real principles to remember and strengthen our real connections in a real community.

Our hope is seen in our pursuit of ‘whatever things are true, whatever grand, whatever right, whatever pure, whatever lovely, whatever of good repute” believing our efforts and actions will support health recovery, enhance relationships, and transform the habits, routines, and practices essential for both personal and communal flourishing.

Our greatest resources are the gifts we have been given and an abundance of Love, Truth, Beauty, and Wisdom flowing through Creation and Creatures (human and animals).
